A Random Update

It has been a rather sombre week due to the passing of Chandar. It as difficult to get over his death as it was so sudden and at an early age of 49. I had spent many days reminiscing about him. Even the computer that I had decided to put together was mainly because he urged me to. Chandar was like my biggest photography fan. He was always churning out praises on the photos I took even when they were mediocre. Its been 6 days since his passing. It was rather difficult for Sang and I as Chandar's death was the first significant loss that we have experienced since moving to Australia. Having just been to Singapore a two week's before his passing, we were unable to make the trip back and to show our support for his immediate family. It is going to be a hard task for everyone to move on but, as they say, life goes on.

Yesterday was a good day out. We met Mark and Suz and their puppy (Watson) for a walk at the beach followed by breakfast at De La Plage. We were there right till noon before heading home as the heat encroached upon us. In the evening, we spent a relaxing evening out at Cullen Bay with the usual gang (this time including Jules' visiting mum) where we had the usual fish and chips and wine.

Today, has been a lazy day in for us. Sang just walked in and reminded me that I have yet to do a post on Victoria and Andrew's visit last weekend. I will definitely do that on my next post although I must say the following keywords probably sum up their visit :

• rain
• wine
• Krispy kreme
• business talk
• McDonalds'

Back to today's events, I have pretty much wasted the entire day watching Arrow Season 4. Sangeetha did a fantastic job cleaning up the apartment for tomorrow's inspection by the housing agent. Oh! Sangeetha has gotten a job of her liking! She has been employed in a policy officer role (of sorts) with NT Shelter. They are an NGO that specialises in housing for the homeless. It is something Sang has always wanted to do and it might even allow her to travel to remote communities. It will surely be something that will add some weight to her portfolio as well in view of our next move. Hehehe... Hint hint.
